What are hard vs soft edits in AZ360?

AZ360 validates transactions before submitting them to a final phase. System validation edits can be set at four levels. 

• Information - provides information about the transaction but does not prevent the transaction from submitting. 
• Warning - provides a warning and gives the submitter a chance to make changes to the transaction but does not prevent the transaction from submitting.
• Error (hard) - provides information about errors that must be corrected and prevents the transaction from submitting.
• Severe - processing is terminated and prevents the transaction from submitting.

The HRIS Modernization Project Team is looking at all of the edits with a goal to maintain consistency in new edits when possible, including timesheet edits.
